Guimarães. "Important" drug supplier arrested

The Judicial Police (PJ) arrested a 45-year-old man suspected of drug trafficking and who was operating as a “relevant supplier” in the municipality of Guimarães, in the district of Braga, this investigation police revealed this Saturday.

In a statement, the PJ said it identified and detained a suspect “strongly indicted for the crime of drug trafficking” .

“He operated as a relevant supplier in the municipality of Guimarães”, said the police, without revealing dates and adding that the arrest is the result of investigations carried out, essentially in Guimarães and neighboring areas.

In addition to the arrest, the PJ seized enough narcotic product to prepare around 3,270 individual doses of cocaine and 100 individual doses of cannabis .

According to the PJ, significant amounts of money were also seized, originating from criminal activity, aimed at regularly supplying various local drug trafficking and consumption circuits.

Present at the first judicial interrogation, the suspect was held in preventive detention.
